Made in the UK from Plastizote LD18 high-performance closed-cell foam, it delivers reliable ground insulation while remaining impressively durable and fully water-resistant. No moisture ingress, no fuss.

Foam specification

There are many types of foam on the market to make a mat from. The choice to use Plastizote LD18 has come from foam testing of all densities, thicknesses and material types. At just 18kg/m3, and 3mm thick, we found the peak of low density foams without having them fall apart. While lighter density foams can be made, without a substantially thicker mat, they would not last under outdoor use.

As well as the weight to durability ratio, this lends towards a grippy, slightly mailable and stretchy feel. These properties give a mat which not only is as light as can be, but grips mats in place, forms around uneven ground, and is completely water resistant.
